Board Chairman
Do you love to get up every morning and go to work? I do! I am so grateful for the opportunity that I have every day to continue to improve life for people with developmental disabilities at PARC. My career started as a police officer in Ohio, after 13 years, I moved to Florida. I then worked in Corporate Security at Eckerd Drugs. I was fortunate in meeting Jack Eckerd who has always been my idol in the business world. He was the champion in treating people with respect and consideration. Owning my own business for a few years was challening and exciting. While I loved part of it, I found it isolating and demanding. I was the worst boss I ever had! AT HSN I was a customer service representative. I had 8 supervisors and around 250 people reporting to me. Retail TV is fun and challenging. So after public service, being an entrepreneur and a part of the corporate world, I am working for PARC. Who could imagine the benefit of those business contacts in the non-profit world! This is truly my dream job. Happiness is a job later in life that has passion and purpose. It is wonderful to know that every day I can make a difference. You must come to PARC and take a tour where you will meet the friendly, charming and inspiring people who participate and thrive in this exciting environment.
