Gary Scarsbrook was born in Connecticut, but grew up in Pinellas County, moving to the Seminole area in 1961. He attended USF studying art, and later SPC, for network engineering. In 1973 he married his high school sweetheart Barbara and they reared their 2 children in the Seminole area.

Gary’s first career was as a sales rep for a small Clearwater company selling building material. This led to working in construction for the next 10 years. Looking for a change he moved into the tech field, first selling software, and then,

 in the telecommunication field where he has been for the last 16 years.

Gary is an active member of First United Methodist Church of Clearwater and his leisure activities include auto racing, bike riding and schutzhund training for his German Shepherd Dog.
