What is the Mr./Ms. Seminole Award?

The purpose of the Mr./Ms. Seminole award is to recognize and forever remember those persons who have provided major contributions to greater seminal by their achievements in business there’s civic involvement and buy the lifelong example of integrity and decency they passed on to future generations.
 
The greater Seminole area Chamber of Commerce has begun accepting nominations for the prestigious Mr./Ms. Seminole award.  This award is presented annually to an individual in the greater Seminole area who has contributed extraordinarily to the community over the past several years and who has given in recognition of his/her community spirit.

The following criteria have been established and should be taken into consideration when nominating an individual for the award:

• The candidate must be active in a greater Seminole area domiciled business or must reside in the greater Seminole area.
  
  
• The service for which the candidate is being recognized must have been performed in the greater Seminole area.
  
  
• The winning candidate shall be selected on the basis of his or her contribution to the community and not based on popularity.
  
  The winning candidate must have been active in civic affairs and organizations and must have helped make the greater Seminole area a better place because of his or her accomplishments throughout many years of service and not just the past year.
  

• The candidate must be in a position to attend and participate in the several community functions EG the Pow Wow parade etc., each of the chamber dinner meetings, and other appropriate civic functions.
  

• Previous Mr. or Ms. Seminole recipients and the current president of the chamber are not eligible for consideration.

 

•  Mr. or Ms. Seminole shall reign for one year or until a successor is named.
